April’s Community Call – Quarterly Programming Update

Our April community call will be an opportunity to find out what the CSCCE team has been working on over the last few months, learn more about what’s coming up in CSCCE community programming, and offer your feedback on what you’d like to see more of over the Summer.

Please join us on Wednesday, 21 April 2021 at 3pm UTC / 11am EDT for our quarterly programming update. Note that this call will not be recorded, in order to facilitate frank discussion.

Take a peek behind the scenes

As a community-focused organization, we value the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with the members of our community of practice, as well as the importance of reflecting regularly on our evolving ecosystem. Our quarterly programming updates are intended to provide a venue for this knowledge sharing, opening a window into what we do and why.

It may not have escaped your notice that the last programming update we gave was back in September, so we are a little(!) overdue for another one. However, our relative quiet on this front has a lot to do with our recent focus on delivering new trainings, building out internal infrastructure and policies, and growing our staff team.

At the community call next week, we plan on bringing you up to speed on some of these goings on, as well as letting you know what we’re doing in terms of research and working group projects. We’ll also share some of the activities we have planned to support the formation and strengthening of connections between members of the community of practice this summer, including ways that you can get involved.

Make your voice heard

The other side of the equation (to you listening to what we’ve been up to) is for you to take the opportunity to tell us what you need. Our community of practice is intended as a space to support you with your ongoing work, and we’d love to hear what you like about our programming, what you don’t find so beneficial, and any ideas for programming you have had that we might make a reality. We’ll spend at least half of the call in breakouts and general discussion, so come ready to share!
