We’re hiring! Are you our new Lead Trainer and Curriculum Development Specialist?

As we continue to grow our programming and the trainings that we provide to clients, CEFP fellows, and others interested in scientific community building, we’re now ready to recruit a Lead Trainer and Curriculum Development Specialist. If you’re interested (or know someone else who might be), read on!

In this role, you’ll lead the consolidation of existing materials and creation of new materials for CSCCE’s community engagement training curriculum. You’ll also be working closely with our Center Director to deliver a wide range of trainings for clients and CEFP fellows – both remotely and in-person. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the leading scientific community engagement curriculum and support many others in their vital community engagement work.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a highly motivated, creative and flexible individual who enjoys learning and creating spaces where others can learn, too.

This full-time role will have a range of responsibilities, including:

  • Curriculum development – develop a modular scientific community engagement curriculum that works both online and in-person drawing upon existing materials and creating new ones
  • Integrate existing resources with new ones – work with CSCCE’s Communications Director and Content Archivist to incorporate existing materials such as reports, tip sheets and research outputs into training materials
  • Training clients and CEFP fellows – both in-person and online in a range of formats from hour-long webinars to multi-day workshops
  • Communications – create clear, actionable communications for our range of learners and devise new and engaging ways for them to interact with CSCCE’s training materials
  • Website support – work collaboratively with other team members to make updates to the website as new materials are available
  • In-person event organization – including community-led events where you work with attendees to co-create the program

What’s it like working at CSCCE?

We’re an all remote organization based in the US, which is where we deliver the majority of our in-person trainings. We also provide online trainings internationally. We have a strong emphasis on personal and professional development so you can expect to join a tight-knit, highly collaborative team where we’re motivated to keep improving and growing – while having fun together along the way.

We use Slack, Zoom, and email to communicate and while not all work needs to be done synchronously, you should be prepared to have significant overlap with East Coast core hours.

This role will involve some travel, mostly within the US, once in-person workshops resume again.
