Community programming for the rest of the year
For CSCCE, 2021 has been a year of growth, building infrastructure, and investing in a sustainable future for our community. Now, we’re excited to close out the year with some new community programming and ways for you to get involved. As our own Community Participation Model demonstrates, nurturing a community requires multi-modal programming to meet members where they are, offering a variety of options with varying levels of commitment. On this month’s community call you can expect to find out:
- What’s coming up on our monthly community calls
- How to take part in NEW CSCCE writing sprints
- How to apply to join a NEW CSCCE Community Council, and what that group will do
- What’s next for CSCCE working groups

We’ll also take the opportunity to introduce you to our newest member of staff, Donna Okubo, who joined us this week as our Membership Director, as well as a sneak peek into our initial planning for an institutional membership program.

How to join
September’s call will take place on Wednesday, 22 September at 4pm UTC / 11am US Eastern Time. Please note this is an earlier time than 2020’s calls to be more accessible for all of our members.
Our calls are hosted in Zoom – simply click here and we’ll see you in the webinar!
Video or not? You’re welcome to turn on your webcam if you like but fine if you prefer just to use audio.
Our community calls last 90 minutes. Come for the first hour – or for the full 90 mins, as your schedule permits!
While some of our Community Calls are recorded, we will not record this one to allow for the free flow of ideas and feedback.

Our community calls usually take place on the third Wednesday of every month at 11am Eastern, but occasionally times and dates vary depending on speaker availability so please keep an eye on our calendar of events.
