A tool used to define roles related to decision-making on a project. The matrix distinguishes roles by who is Responsible for individual tasks that contribute to project deliverables, who is Accountable for the overall deliverable, who ought to be Consulted before decisions are made, and who ought to be kept Informed of decisions (but do not need to be involved in the day-to-day work).
