Collective effort model

A theoretical framework that explains when individuals are motivated to exert effort in group contexts. The model proposes that people’s contributions to group activities depend on two key factors: how much they care about the group’s success and how much they believe their personal efforts will meaningfully impact the group’s overall performance and results. (Chapter 2, p. 62)*
