SUMMARY:Quarterly Skills Share session (QSS26Q3) | Hosting community events: Incorporating feedback\, building on momentum\, and nucleating new connections
DESCRIPTION:Community events\, from in-person annual meetings to monthly webinars\, are a great opportunity to strengthen and expand the connections you’re nurturing as a community manager. This Quarterly Skills Share session (QSS26Q3) will include four presentations\, with case studies focusing on: incorporating community input through evaluation and iteration; building momentum towards community goals in the immediate aftermath (1-2 weeks) of your event; uniting connected communities to synergize your reach and impact; and engaging new stakeholders in your upcoming programming. The session will include themes covered in depth in Scientific Community Engagement Fundamentals\, especially the CSCCE Community Participation Model\, and you will leave with new\, strategic ideas for improving your next community event. \nSpeakers:  \n\nMara Cowen (Scientific Director\, ZTTK SON-Shine Foundation)\nEllen Dow (KBase Scientific Community Engagement Manager\, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab)\nNidhi Gandhi-Patel (Pharmacist\, NidsRx LLC)\nLipi Gupta (Science Engagement Engineer\, NERSC)\n\nThis is not a public event – participation is by invitation only!
