SUMMARY:CSCCE Quarterly Skills Share Session: Coordinating and implementing community-engaged communications campaigns
DESCRIPTION:Quarterly Skills Share (QSS) sessions are an opportunity for participants in the CSCCE Community Manager Certification Program to share insights and expertise about their roles as STEM community managers. Sessions last 90-minutes and include two or three presentations\, with ample time for Q&A and discussion. \nCommunity management work regularly involves telling your members about upcoming activities\, leadership or staffing changes\, and relevant news (e.g.\, funding opportunities or community publications). Speakers will share their experiences coordinating community events\, restarting community efforts after a pause\, and more. This session will highlight what it takes to coordinate a complex communications campaign\, including creating scaffolding materials – a process we discuss\, work through\, and template in Content Design (CODE). \nSpeakers \n\nAmber Nelson (Sage Bionetworks)\nA.L. McMichael (Barnard College)\nTajuddeen Gwadabe\n\nPlease note: This is not a public event – participation is by invitation only.
